Scottish Tumble Championships 2013 Results

Congratulations to all the tumblers who took part in the Scottish Tumble Championships at East Kilbride last weekend.  The competition proved to be very tough in all categories but the club had many gymnasts competing who produced strong tumble runs on the day.

Holly Kelly competed in the National 2 Women’s Tumble 11/12years age group and performed three excellent tumble runs to finish in the bronze medal position with a combined score of 78.9. Holly’s tumbles demonstrated her impressive power and speed on the track and she was unlucky not to finish higher up the medals being just 0.3 away from gold.

Ellie Lavy took to the track in her first ever tumble competition and performed in the National 1 Women’s Tumble 13years+ category. Ellie showed her natural strength and power in each of her runs and finished the competition in third place.  Ellie was one of the youngest in this category and performed superbly to win her bronze medal which she can add to her bronze from the Acro Championships from the previous week.

Congratulations to both Holly and Ellie for excellent performances at this event.  Well done!
