About the club

Bishopbriggs Acro Gymnastics Club is based in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow and caters for competitive and recreational gymnasts starting from the age of 5 years. Our aim is to promote acro gymnastics as both a competitive and recreational sport and make it as accessible as possible for those interested in participating. Acro gymnastics involves pairs, groups and tumbling from Preparatory Grades to FIG level. The club was established in 1983.

Bishopbriggs Acro Gymnastics Club is affiliated to the governing body, the Scottish Gymnastics Association.

The club runs several training sessions for both recreational and competitive gymnasts.  Gymnasts who attend recreational sessions are assessed continually throughout the year and if they are of the ability to move to a competitive class, a coach will inform the gymnast’s parent/carer. If new gymnasts are looking to join the club, an email should be sent to the club through the contact page on the website and the child’s name, DOB and any previous gymnastics experience should be detailed. The club aims to reply to all emails in ten working days. The club will only be registering new gymnasts in August and January of each year.
