Congratulations to all the gymnasts who took part in the Scottish Acro NDP Prelims and Finals at the weekend. It was clear from the beginning of the day that the standard was very high and that a tough competition lay ahead.
Heather Mardle and Anna Begen (G1 WP), Alice Orr, Ainslie Bennett and Iona Moodie (G1 WG), and Molly Murray, Hazel Howat and Ellie Gallagher (G2 WG), were unfortunate not to qualify for the finals after all three partnerships performed very well.
In G1 WP Hazel Howat and Dani Thomson performed to a very high standard in what was their first competition together and qualified for the finals in 4th place. Emma Owen, Fiona Glen and Codie McInally competed in the G2 WG section and qualified in 6th place for the finals after a solid routine. In the same category, Laura Mcmillan, Sarah Finaly and Holly Kelly qualified for the finals in 2nd place after a great performance.
The G3 WP final took place at the weekend and after two impressive routines, Emma Leadbetter and Ellie Lavy claimed the bronze medal. In G2 WP Sarah Finaly and Holly Kelly finished in silver medal position after an excellent performance.
A huge well done to both pairs who won medals at the weekend as this is an excellent achievement and shows that your hard work is paying off. Good luck to all the girls competing in their finals on 11th March!!
