Bishopbriggs Acro Gymnastics 2015 – 2016

Bishopbriggs Acro are continuing to expand and we are very excited for the coming year.  In order for coaches to concentrate on developing gymnasts and spending as much time in the gym as possible we are looking for additional helpers. We are looking to fill the following roles listed below for 2015-2016.  Any help would be greatly appreciated even if you are able to assist one of the roles please do let us know.

Treasurer Administrative Role – As the treasurer role has expanded somewhat we think it would be helpful to separate this role further. In doing this it means that the current role wouldn’t be as substantial.

  • Collect money and cheques – deposit into bank
  • Complete bank transfers – hall hire etc.
  • Check standing orders, update accounts, check bank statement

Transport Co-ordinator – When training at additional sessions such as Avondale or Ravenscraig for competitions it would be helpful if we had a transport co-ordinator who could organise car sharing. This means, that all gymnasts can attend the sessions and transport isn’t a problem! Parents could simply contact the transport co-ordinator if they require a lift and parents with extra space could also contact the co-ordinator.

Administrator – The administrator would order club leotards and shorts. This would be organised four times throughout the year. Gymnasts would return order forms and payment to the administrator. The administrator would then email the order to Aspire/Leotastic and send the cheque for payment. On arrival leotards and shorts should be labelled prior to the gymnasts receiving them.

Child Protection Co-Ordinator – The CPC must attend two courses which last three hours each. Thereafter their duties include dealing with any child protection issues and ensuring coaches child protection courses are in date.

Social Committee – Gymnasts enjoy outings such as bowling trips, Frankie and Bennys etc. It would be great if someone was willing to organise this and book for gymnasts to enjoy some time together out of the gym too.

Fundraising Committee – We are always looking for new members to join our fund raising committee. Bishopbriggs Acro is a non for profit organisation and all money that comes into the club is spent on the gymnasts. Any additional equipment or subsidies for trips are paid with fund raising. This is why fund raising is essential for us to progress further and critical to our club.

Website Co-ordinator – We are looking for someone with good technical knowledge to update our website. This could perhaps be done on a fort nightly basis just to keep everyone up to date with our busy club!
